When is KBS Week?
March 5-10, 2018 in Grand Rapids and, for the first time, Detroit!
When are general admission KBS bottle sale tickets available for purchase?
February 2, 2018 at 11am EST.
Where can I purchase tickets?
All tickets are sold via Ticketfly.
How many tickets can I buy?
You may purchase a total of two tickets per person, regardless of day.
How quickly will tickets sell out?
We anticipate that all tickets will be in Ticketfly carts within minutes, however the event may not appear as ‘Sold Out’ until all orders have been processed. This could take up to an hour.
How much is a ticket? What does it include?
This year, we are offering one package type which includes (3) 4-packs of 12oz bottles and (1) 750mL bottle. The package cost is $92 plus ticketing fees.
Can I buy more or less KBS than offered in the two options?
No, you may only purchase up to (2) tickets of the one designated option.
Is this different than last year?
Yes, last year we offered two purchase options and, in an effort to simplify the purchase process, we opted to go with one purchase option that you can reserve up to (2) of this year. Similar to last year, you will pay the full amount upon reservation and, from there, simply pick up your KBS on the day specified on your ticket.
Why do I have to purchase both package types (750mL and 4-packs of 12oz bottles)?
Knowing that many of our supporters have interest in both package types, we decided to group them together so that everyone who purchased KBS bottle tickets, no matter the day of the week, would receive the same allotment of package types.
What is the price of KBS?
What are the dates and pickup times?
Please note that these days and pickup times are the same across both taproom locations.

What do I need in order to pick up my KBS bottles?
If I put a ticket in my cart am I guaranteed the ticket?
No. Not until your card is processed and you receive confirmation from Ticketfly.
My purchase went through, but I did not receive a confirmation email or I accidentally deleted my confirmation email. What do I do?
Check your SPAM folder. If you deleted that email, email us at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
I wasn’t able to successfully purchase a ticket – will you release more?
No additional tickets will be sold. KBS will be sold in bottle and on draft throughout our distribution footprint - which includes 46 states – in limited amounts. Your best bet is to stay in touch with your local bottle shops and craft beer bars.
Will you issue refunds?
While we do have a firm policy of not offering refunds, we do understand that from time to time extremely rare circumstances take place that prevent you from picking up your bottles. Please reach out to the ticketing email addresses above with the reason for your refund request if this happens.
Did you make more KBS this year?
As we continue to produce a higher volume, the demand continues to grow. We strive to produce more, but that does not mean it’s more easily available.
Will KBS be available in bottles at any other time during the year?
You can occasionally find KBS in our Company Store coolers throughout the year, but we never announce when that will be.
Outside of our taprooms, KBS will be sold in bottles and draft throughout our distribution footprint - which includes 46 states – in limited amounts. This begins on March 30, 2018 and we anticipate it will sell out quickly. Your best bet is to stay in touch with your local bottle shops.
Will you have a taproom release party at both locations (Grand Rapids and Detroit)?
We sure will! The taproom release parties will take place on Saturday, March 10 from 11am-2am in Grand Rapids and 11am-1am in Detroit. The free event is 21+ all day and yes, we’ll be pouring KBS all day long.
If I attend the taproom release party can I pour my KBS into a growler?
No, but you are welcome to enjoy draft pours in the taproom.
Where can I find KBS outside of Grand Rapids/Detroit/Michigan?
KBS will be sold in bottles and on draft throughout our distribution footprint in limited amounts. Your best bet is to stay in touch with your local bottle shops and craft beer bars.
I live in Michigan and have been supporting you for years yet I can’t find any KBS. Why do you ship it to other states?
We have the largest and most passionate fan base here in our home state of Michigan, which is why we allocate the largest amount of KBS to stay within the state. We also host a weeklong celebration in Grand Rapids a few weeks before the beer is available outside of the state. Our fans outside of Michigan, many of whom are former Michigan residents, want the opportunity to drink it too.
Is KBS cellarable? What's the shelf life?
The suggested shelf life is 365 days. Like all of our beers, we suggest that you drink it fresh. We like to say that it’s meant to be aged, we age it for you.
Is the recipe the same? Why am I noticing a difference in flavor this year?
The recipe is the same year after year. There should be no changes in flavor.
Is there a new KBS glass this year?
There is. It will be sold exclusively in our Company Store (both in Grand Rapids and Detroit) during KBS Week.
Will there be any new KBS gear for sale?
Of course! We’ll have t-shirts, tap handles, stickers, magnets and barrelhead art. Plus, we plan to offer a new hat, a sweatshirt and wooden sign. These items will be available in both of our Company Stores by March 5, 2018 and will appear online on March 12, 2018..
"It's up to us to really diversify, we can't just be limited to stouts... we have to push that envelope. You put the right beer in the right barrel and you're going to create some pretty interesting flavors..." - Jeremy Kosmicki, Brewmaster
